Kagoule have announced their first full UK headline tour for November/December this year. Nottingham’s notorious live performers will embark on a 18 date tour of the UK giving fans the chance to experience tracks from the critically acclaimed debut album Urth which charted at #8 in the Official UK Album Vinyl Charts and was joyously received by both fans and the press including rave reviews in MOJO, NME, Kerrang!, The Quietus, DiS and Rock Sound plus an honourable inclusion in the Rough Trade Album Club.
To celebrate the tour announcement Kagoule have also offered up two new live tracks from Urth which were recorded for John Kennedy in an XFM Session back in July and are available to stream right now for free on SoundCloud.
Frontman and lyricist Cai Burns said: “We are readying the ship as I speak. Lawrenci The Hands has made ingenious advancements to our vessel which will allow us to travel considerably farther than what we thought possible only a month ago. This morning at sunrise the Sea Dogs spoke with the Sea Gods. They seem to be in a pleasant mood and have given their divine word that no harm will befall us. The children of the waters will not toy with life on this voyage. We will be with you soon. May you continue in good health and spirits.”
The band have consistently impressed live, and developed something of a fearsome live reputation having shared stages with acts including The Who, Johhny Marr, Sleaford Mods, The Wytches, Iceage, METZ, Sebadoh and Drenge plus a performance at Glastonbury Festival.
