Chorley’s Then Thickens are streaming their new track ‘My Sunday’, taken from Colic, the forthcoming album released 23rd October via Hatch Records.
One of the most reflective songs on the album, the stirring ‘My Sunday’ is a rousing and contemplative track that begs to be listened to again and again. A lighter moment in a satisfyingly diverse record, the track is sure to become a live favourite as the band head out on the road in October.
Colic follows up last years acclaimed debut album Death Cap At Anglezarke. Then Thickens began as a solo project for frontman Jon-Lee Martin, who previously played with masked noise-mob KONG. Then Thickens became a fully fledged prospect following encouragement from close friend Jorma Vik from The Bronx. After a series of lo-fi recordings appeared online, Charlie Hartley, Sean Doherty and Thomas Griffin joined the band. Then Thickens have shared stages with luminaries including Biffy Clyro, Nine Black Alps, Vennart, Echo and the Bunnymen and Mariachi El Bronx.
